Reliable records since 1944 area available from the Comox weather station. There is a small difference between rainfall levels there compared to Hornby, but close enough for our purposes, and great to have the long-term tracking to show trends.

The trend lines (heavy solid line) are polynomial using 5 years (think of it as a kind of moving average that incorporates slightly shifting directions rather than a single straight line, which might be skewed by historical data). It’s not perfect, but hopefully provides a good look at changes over time.
